Today, on 18.01.2019, the Commission of the Kosovo Competition Authority held a regular meeting, among which was discussed the issue of preliminary investigation in the market of petroleum products in the Republic of Kosovo.
The Commission has reviewed the data and analyzes made so far by the Secretariat and has assessed that more information is needed to substantiate the allegations of distortions of competition in the relevant petroleum products market.
The Authority is working closely with the relevant institutions to gather the necessary documentation and is processing this data to substantiate the Authority's suspicions as to whether there are sufficient elements for a prohibited price-fixing agreement, coordinated practice or abuse of a dominant position. of companies in the relevant market.
The authority at the next meeting will evaluate the report of the preliminary review of the investigation and make a decision on this issue.
