The Competition Authority has signed an Agreement of Understanding and Cooperation with the Procuring Authority on Thursday, December 28, 2023. On behalf of the Competition Authority Commission, the Chairperson, Neime Binaku-Isufi and the Chairperson of the Procurement Review Body, Vjosa Gradinaj Mexhuani, signed the Agreement.
Its main purpose is cooperation and coordination of activities in investigations of violations, disorders and distortion of competition in Kosovo, as well as the creation of favourable conditions for the development of bilateral relations based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit.
This Memorandum enables the Competition Authority to implement competition policies based on rules that would ensure benefits from fair competition in the market. It will also encourage entrepreneurship and efficiency to offer consumers a wider selection, resulting in lower prices and improved product quality.
Whereas this agreement for the Procurement Review Body means the organisation of procurement activities to support the economic development and well-being of the citizens of Kosovo, trying to become more and more reliable and respected by the parties.
